In spite of claims by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that the government-in-holding up would take severity measures at all levels, more than 350 security staff have been conveyed at party chief Imran Khan’s living residence in Islamabad.
A police official told that 250 policemen, 80 Rangers personnel, as well as, between 30 to 40 Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials are also deployed at Imran Khan’s residence.
The source also added: “They’re performing security duties in three shifts at his Bani Gala residence,”

The previous cricketer’s security is being regulated by the capital police’s security division, which handles security for top government functionaries including the president, the prime minister, ministers and judges among others.
The security personnel were conveyed soon after the PTI’s victory on election day.
On Monday, Imran went from his Bani Gala home to the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad for the PTI’s parliamentary council’s meeting. For this tour, he was given security as indicated by the blue book — a classified record which illuminates security plans during movement of VVIPs including the president, the PM and heads of state.
“His route was cleared and a total of 230 police personnel were deployed along the route. The capital police provided five police vehicles including one with signal jammers. This is the security protocol for VVIPs,” the official said.
Police say they had given normal security to the PTI head amid the election campaign yet it was expanded after his election win.
Islamabad DIG Security Waqar Chohan did not react to inquiries about the police security being given to Khan.
The authority, in any case, included that the security was being given to Imran because of security concerns.
