Alia Bhatt recently opened up about her feelings leading up to the moment when she and Ranbir Kapoor introduced their daughter, Raha, to the public for the first time. In a candid conversation on Kareena Kapoor's chat show What Women Want, Alia shared how nervous and anxious she felt ahead of the paparazzi debut of her daughter. The incident took place last year during the Kapoor family’s Christmas lunch, where Raha was finally presented to the public after much anticipation. Before this appearance, Alia and Ranbir had been careful not to expose Raha to the media, and they had requested photographers to respect their privacy. However, on that particular day, Ranbir casually brought up the idea of revealing Raha’s face to the world. According to Alia, it was a suggestion that caught her off guard, as she hadn’t mentally prepared for it. Alia explained how her anxiety heightened during the drive to the lunch, stating that Ranbir sensed her discomfort. “He understood that I was getting really anxious and told me, ‘Let’s talk about it. What’s your worst fear?’” Alia shared. This conversation lasted from Bandra to Juhu, with Ranbir reassuring her that everything would be okay. Eventually, Alia came to terms with the situation, acknowledging that as a public figure, such moments were inevitable. She also didn’t want the public to feel that they were intentionally hiding their daughter’s face. The moment itself turned out to be a touching one. Ranbir stepped outside the venue to politely request the paparazzi to maintain decorum, ensuring that the environment would be calm for Raha's appearance. When Alia, Ranbir and Raha finally stepped out together, Raha sweetly posed with her parents, even holding both of their faces, which Alia described as a heartwarming memory. Though Alia admits she still gets nervous when the paparazzi flash cameras in Raha’s direction, she has learned to deal with it. Alia’s latest action-packed film Jigra hit the screens on Friday, featuring her as a sister on a mission to break her brother out of prison. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Vedang Raina. Meanwhile, Ranbir is currently working on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where he plays Lord Rama. His last release was Animal in 2023.
