However, when it comes to her privacy, the ‘Euphoria‘ star isn’t here for the invasive antics of the paparazzi. In a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, Sweeney opened up about the extreme lengths photographers go to in order to snap unauthorized photos of her, especially when she’s at home. Here’s what she said.
Sydney Sweeney Recalls Paparazzi’s Absurd Demands
Recalling a particularly disturbing incident during the interview, Sydney Sweeney revealed that photographers recently swarmed her Florida residence and made absurd demands of her family. “They said, ‘If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then I’ll leave you alone,’” she recounted.
And for those who think she might be tipping off the paparazzi herself, Sweeney shut the thought down fast. “Why would I call the paparazzi to take pictures of me at my own house when my baby cousins and family are there and I’m in my backyard?” she said.
Sweeney even shared that some of these determined photographers went as far as to hide in kayaks, lurking in bushes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. “I should be able to be in my home and feel comfortable and safe,” the ‘Anyone But You‘ actress added.
Sydney Sweeney Expresses Concerns About Her Safety Risk Because Of Paparazzi

While the constant presence of paparazzi has been unnerving for her, Sydney Sweeney stressed that her biggest concern is when her location gets leaked through their photos. “When those photos go out, then my actual safety is at risk,” she explained.
“Everyone knows where I am. Now there’s boats that go by, and I literally hear them say, ‘This is Sydney Sweeney’s house.’ It becomes a star tour in my front yard,” the actress added.
Beyond her battles with the paparazzi, Sweeney also addressed the sometimes uncomfortable commentary about her body. However, she finds solace in the positive messages from her younger fans, many of whom tell her how she’s helped them feel more confident. “That means a lot to me because I really believe in empowering others… And if you have boobs, great. Flaunt them,” she said with a shrug.
While Sweeney embraces body positivity, she’s made it clear that when it comes to her home, she’d prefer the public to stay far away.
