CANCUN, Mexico (Sept. 18, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team was back in action Wednesday with the opening day of competition at the Princess Hotels College Cup south of the border in Mexico. Wyoming opened day one of play with just the doubles portion of their competition with Southeastern Louisiana. The Cowgirls impressed on the day, sweeping the day by winning all three matches. The tandem of Violetta Borodina and Dilnaz Mashabayeva continued their strong start to the fall with a convincing 8-2 win. Elena Trencheva and Ruby Young came out on top in their match, 8-4 while Serina Abriola and Eugenia Ceinos won 8-3.
