Actor, 26, found dead days after going missing as devastated sister pays tribute

A huge actor has been found dead aged just 26.

James Hollcroft who appeared in the television series Como dice el dicho (as the saying goes) was found close to his home in Mexico City. His loved ones hadn’t seen or heard from James since his disappearance on September 3. However, his devastated sister has now confirmed that he was found dead last week.

Local authorities and James’ family have not yet confirmed the details surrounding his tragic death. James was returning to his residence in Tizapán when he went missing, claims his sister Jane Hollcroft. The actor was studying at the nearby Artistic Education Centre, which is operated by Televisa, one of the leading media organisations in Mexico.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Jane said: “I will love you forever, thank you for the years we shared together and for having given me the most magnificent moments I have ever experienced, you will always be present in our hearts, little brother.”

Meanwhile, his school said in a Facebook post: “Thank you for all those good times we spent together during your acting training. We will carry you in our memories and in our hearts, you will always be part of our CEA family, farewell dear James Hollcroft.” James’ friend, Luis Duval also said in a now-deleted post: “I love you, I love you so much. I’m going to miss you. Fly high my boy. I will always remember how great you are.”

His brother-in-law Aruto Avila added: “I wish that everything is just another dream, thank you for being the brother that you were, the uncle that you were with your nephews, the great son that you were. We are going to miss you a lot, this really breaks my heart. Today we are lowering the curtain here but I know that you are in heaven doing that great staging that you talked so much about.”

While James was known for his role on Como dice el dicho, which was based on real-life events, he also bagged a role in the 11th series of Dime queue si (tell me yes), which is now airing its 16th season.

Fans have also mourned James’ death, with one writing: “A hug Jane, blessings to you and your family and your brother is in the arms of God.” A second went on to add: “Rest in peace and strength for you and your family.” Another penned: “Much peace, strength, all the affection and deep love to his family. May his soul rest with the angels in the sky surrounded by infinite love.”

“Another little angel in heaven. May he Rest In Peace. May God Have You In His Holy Kingdom. And Shine For The Perpetual Light,” said another.
