In a recent interview with Paras Chhabra, Shefali Jariwala was posed with the question of being shot by paparazzi and the latter focusing on her backside. Unlike many other celebs who have raised objection, the actress had a complete different opinion. Sharing the same with Bollywood Hungama, she asserted that they are hard working cameramen and that they are highly respectful. The actress continued to assert that they also listen to the celebrities and even abide by their wishes if they are uncomfortable.

“In my personal experience, I have never had a situation arise where I was shot inappropriately, vulgar manner, or in an objectionable manner. The paps and I share a great rapport. I’m usually very comfortable in my skin and appropriately dressed. There are times when I’m not comfortable with what I’m wearing or how I’m feeling. I always let them know not to shoot me or not to shoot from a particular angle, and they always listen. They give me that respect. Having said that, I cannot speak about another celebrity and what their experience has been.
I can only speak for myself, and I have never had a bad experience at all. I have never felt disrespected by them. We share a great rapport. I think they’re doing a great job. They work very hard, and they listen to you in case there’s a problem,” she told Bollywood Hungama.
Further addressing the question which was posed to her, Shefali reacted, “I don’t really understand how that could be avoided, because when I walk towards them and then walk away, they shoot me from both the front and the back. Sometimes I turn around because I think I’m looking really nice and love the dress I’m wearing, which might capture the backside. Having said that, yes, sometimes they do zoom in, but it’s not disrespectful. I’m very comfortable in my body; I work hard on it, and if it looks nice in what I’m wearing, I appreciate the positive attention. If you’re not comfortable, you can definitely let them know, and they will respect your wishes and not shoot you.”
“Being a celebrity comes with a lot of perks and a lot of drawbacks as well. You are constantly in the public eye, and there is a particular way you have to carry yourself and behave to avoid controversies. Respect is always earned, so you’ve got to conduct yourself accordingly,” she concluded.
