In his Instagram stories shared subsequently, the actor took a dig at those paying for paparazzi appearances. Additionally, he also recalled an anecdote when a producer and his kid pitched him a fake project. In his first story, Shashank Arora wrote, “Here’s to ten more years of not paying photographers at the airport.” It was followed by another story in which the Bharat actor called out “pretend artists” for faking battles to get some work. He added, “Ten more years of watching pretend artists in a battle of mediocrity with those born into the business, while the real ones keep their heads down and work.”Then came the last story which included a shocking revelation. In this particular story, Shashak Arora recalled the incident when he was offered a fake project. According to the actor, “Ten years ago a producer and his son set up a whole fake project to lead me on after I was nominated for a Filmfare. I was called into their office and told I’d be nobody if I didn’t have more followers or sell myself more.”Shashank Arora chose not to reveal the name while recalling the incident. The Moothon actor, instead, believes that one does not need to sell his soul. Adding that one needs to stay true to his art, he further divulged, “Ten years later, the producer all all-time favourite actor Kamal Hassan called me his favourite actor.”It is not the first time that Shashank Arora has opened up on a crucial subject. Earlier, the Made In Heaven star advocated for actors’ mental health. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he highlighted the extremely adverse impact of acting on mental health. He opined, “It is very challenging and hard to be an actor. It’s a tough job because the tool of your craft is yourself. That is why it becomes extremely tough. You have to be extremely sensitive and extremely strong as well. Because there’s a lot of judgement, and there is a sort of superficiality that comes with acting.
