Tom Cruise stepped out in London in a rare appearance with his adult son, Connor, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
On Friday, June 28, the 61-year-old action star — who also shares daughter Isabella, 31, with Kidman; as well as daughter Suri, 18, with ex-wife Katie Holmes — spent time with his only son while boarding a helicopter in England’s capital, according to photos obtained by People.
Per the outlet, Cruise, clad in his trademark aviators, smiled and waved to onlookers from the helipad, dressed in a tight white T-shirt. Connor, for his part, sported a black hoodie and a navy blue baseball cap that read, “Pelican Golf Club” as he followed behind his father. Like his dad, the 29-year-old also donned a pair of opaque sunglasses.
The outing was a strikingly rare appearance for the father-son duo, who made headlines when posing together, along with Bella, in a December 2023 group photo. The image was the first time the family publicly posed together in nearly 15 years.
Cruise’s quality time with Connor comes just days after Suri dropped her dad’s last name from her high school graduation pamphlet, choosing instead to go by Suri Noelle in the program. She also omitted his surname in her high school’s production of Head Over Heels in May.

Kidman, for her part, has been in France for Paris Fashion Week, making headlines on June 26 — just two days before Connor’s helicopter ride with Cruise — by stepping out with 15-year-old daughter Sunday Rose, whom she shares with husband Keith Urban. (Kidman and Urban are also parents to 13-year-old daughter Faith Margaret.) The mother-daughter duo turned heads at the Balenciaga Haute Couture show by looking nearly identical in matching black dresses and dark sunglasses.
Cruise and Kidman tied the knot in 1990 and adopted Bella two years later, followed by adopting Connor in 1995. After finalizing his divorce from Kidman in 2001, Cruise married Holmes in 2006, welcoming daughter Suri that same year. Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012.
When it comes to Kidman’s relationship with her two children with Cruise, she acknowledged that Bella and Connor have chosen to follow their dad’s religion — Scientology — and she is there for them as their mom.
“They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” the Oscar winner told Who magazine in 2018.
As for Cruise’s relationship with Suri, their bond was reportedly strained after the Top Gun actor’s split from Holmes, due, in part, to Cruise’s ties to Scientology.
