Dwayne Johnson is asking UK fans to smell what the Rock is cooking.

The global superstar stepped away from his acting responsibilities and put on his business head as he made a huge announcement regarding his popular Tequila brand – it’s now available in the UK.

The Hollywood sensation revealed the news on his social media accounts and opted for a fetching outfit in which to do so. Wearing a bright and shiny two piece purple suit without a shirt, the star beamed as he popped a bottle of his Teremana brand on Instagram, labelling the news a “big achievement”.

The global expansion comes as The Rock shared his goal that “ALL the people have an opportunity to taste and enjoy Teremana”.

Describing his latest venture, Johnson said: “Teremana Tequila has been years in the making, hand crafted with the ultimate care from beginning to end, we take deep pride in every drop.”

He opened up further on what he believes makes his product stand out: “Our goal is to create a tequila that is the best of quality and taste, but done the right way – by hand,” he said. “Small batch, hand-crafted tequila from our Teremana blue agave.

“I felt like in order for the brand to have legitimate longevity, I had to learn and absorb the tequila business and history from day one, going to Mexico and spending time with the families who have been in the industry for generations,” he says. “We went through 113 distillations before we perfected it.”

He branded the UK expansion as a “new chapter for us in creating this legacy brand I envision”.

The business move comes after news The Rock will be reprising his role in Disney’s Moana, with a sequel set for our screens later this year on November 27. The first Moana epic hit the big screens back in 2016.

The two-time-Oscar-nominated film tells the story of Moana, an adventurous teenage girl – played by Auli’i Cravalho – who sets sail on a daring mission to save the people on her island. During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demigod Maui – played by ohnson – who helps guide her on her voyage. The movie made more than $687million (£543million) worldwide and was highly praised for its delicate storytelling and insanely catchy tunes.
