Huge rock star spotted on celebrity dating app

A chart-topping musician has been spotted by those swiping hoping to find love.

Maneskin frontman Damiano David is currently dating American singer and actress Dove Cameron but left one onlooker stunned when his profile appeared on an exclusive dating app. Celebs have been turning to exclusive apps to find love in a similar industry to them, with some having been banned by the likes of Tinder.

Chart-topper Lewis Capaldi previously revealed that bosses behind apps including Tinder, Bumble and Hinge had deleted his accounts, claiming: “I think, people think I’m fake.” Meanwhile, Zayn Malik recently confessed to swiping left and right on Tinder, only to have his account shut down with bosses believing he was a catfish.

Damiano and Dove shocked onlookers stunned when they made their red carpet debut in February this year at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy gala. The couple smiled at the hoards of cameras before kissing one another. Rumours had been circulating for months after they were snapped together after a Maneskin concert in Brazil, back in November 2023.

A source exclusively told the Mirror: “I was really shocked to see Damiano on there, I know he’s dating Dove Cameron and they attended the Met Gala together. His profile didn’t show any signs that he was in a relationship, instead, it looked as though he was looking to meet somebody on there.

“He wasn’t afraid to share that he was in Maneskin as it stated clearly on the opening of his profile.” Last month, the unlikely couple hit the red carpet at The Met Gala in New York as they showcased their love for one another while posing for paparazzi. Several months prior to confirming his relationship with Dove, the Eurovision musician issued a grovelling apology after a clip appeared online of him kissing a mystery woman – while in a relationship.

Damiano had been dating his long-term girlfriend Giorgia Soleri since 2017 before their split in June 2023. A clip appeared on the video-sharing app, TikTok, showing him kissing a woman, which he apologised for. In a statement shared on his Instagram page, the 25-year-old frontman said: “I am very sorry this video came out, it was not how I wanted to handle the situation and it was my mistake.”

He later clarified that there had been “no betrayals of any kind” during their split and asked that fans “respect” the “delicate” nature of their break-up. Just weeks before they announced their split, David’s now ex-girlfriend shared a snap of the pair on her Instagram page, suggesting that their relationship was continuing to blossom.
