Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle has been slammed by fans for apparently not helping ex-wife Emma McVey move out of the home they used to share.

The reality TV star was nowhere to be seen as model Emma packed the house up and lugged boxes with her two little helpers – son Chester, six, and four-year-old daughter Primrose, who she shares with Gaz – ready for the next chapter in their lives. Posting snaps of the move on Instagram, the 31-year-old admitted she was “exhausted” and told her 895,000 followers: “MOVING DAY EVE! We are ready! I’ve packed up the house, two children and two dogs. One exhausted mama but I am so so proud of my two little humans, they really are incredible.”

She went on to say: “It’s been a lot this past two years, and it’s been a lot this past three weeks before we move, but we’ve done it! My little team and a huge thankyou to my bestie @leahjorja_ because I absolutely could not have done this last week without you!”

But fans were quick to comment underneath asking where Gaz was and why he hadn’t helped with the move. One wrote: “Surely he should have helped always you x.” Another said: “I personally think Gary should have paid for packing and removals for his children’s sake.” A third asked why Emma wasn’t feeling sad about the move and she tellingly replied: “I’ve been through my sad for a long time before this final hurdle x.”

However, others fans seemed to be on Gary’s side – and insisted it wasn’t his responsibility to help his ex move. One commented: “When I split from my ex and had to pack up the family home and two kids, last thing u would have wanted was him helping even tho we were on good terms.” Another chimed in: “Everyone saying Gary should have paid/helped her to move! Why? It’s her new beginnings, nothing at all to do with Gary…”

A third fumed: “Why the hell are people saying Gary should be paying? Why should he? She chose to move? Get a flipping grip on life y’all.” A fourth said: “It’s not his job to move his ex whether they have children or not.” While a fifth added: “People acting like Gary left her. For all we know it might have been Emma’s choice but they seem to do a great job co-parenting so surely that’s what matters now.”

Gaz, 36, and Emma, 31, began dating in 2016 and welcomed son Chester in January 2018 and daughter Primrose in December 2019. In 2021, they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony and for the past six years they’ve been doing up a mansion in Leeds. But fans were shocked when they announced they were splitting in October 2023 after just two years of marriage.

Casually revealing the news in an Instagram Q&A with fans, Gaz was asked if he and Emma were still together. He replied: “Hey no we actually separated about 3 weeks ago we are still friends there is no bad blood or anything and we have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids which for me and Emma is always gunna be the most important thing.” He added: “We both deserve to be happy as well as being parents.”

They have both now moved on, with the Geordie Shore star said to be dating pro golfer Charley Hull and Emma has since gone public with her with new man. But that hasn’t stopped Emma having a dig at Gaz on social media, where she claimed she was looking after their kids “alone 6 nights a week”.

She said in November: “Some days are good, some days are really hard. Doing this alone 6 nights a week, trying to heal, trying to work, planning their birthdays and Christmas in the space of 6 weeks, the mental load alone seriously sends my head into a fuzz most days.” The Mirror has reached out to Gaz’s reps for further comment on this story.
