Shirley Ballas has shared what she is getting up to while enjoying some downtime from Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC show's judge is leaving the UK behind as she seeks out sun, sea and sand.Posting to Instagram, the 63-year-old shared that she was off on a "journey" as she boarded a cruise. Shirley posed in swimwear, with a smile beaming from ear to ear as she was joined by her fiance, 50-year-old Daniel Taylor.She added a second image to her Instagram Stories, showing off her slender figure in an all black swimsuit. Shirley finished the look off with some black and white chunky heels, a white head band and black headphones.The Strictly star seemed to already be aboard the ship, with beautiful views of clear blue skies behind her. She captioned the post: "Getting a break before @bbcstrictly starts...".It seems Shirley will also be working on some dance workshops ahead of the new series of Strictly starting with some of her co-stars. Italian pro dancer Giovanni Pernice recently announced a new dance workshop in London with fellow pro dancer Kai Widdrington.The announcement said: “Booking open in 20 hours…” and had details of a Ballando dance workshop on July 28 this year at Dance Attic in Fulham in London."The timetable for the event shows Shirley Ballas helping to teach jive, before Anton Du Beke teaches quickstep and Giovanni ends the day taking a class on the cha cha cha.The description said: “Dance style: This will ultimately be the choice of Shirley, Anton and Giovanni. Classes are danced solo - no partnering. Each class will be a different dance style."It added that Shirley and the others would be available for some meet and greets as it continued: "Please be mindful of the timetable as we need to stay on track with the schedule as above."Giovanni, Anton and Shirley are happy to say hello and take photos where time allows, but please be mindful of others to ensure everyone gets the opportunity. From time to time we may have to step in to manage queues and move things along a little faster to stay on track.”Shirley has been a judge on Strictly since 2017 and will be returning to her role later this year.Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.
