Neha told us that this also leads to the loss of freedom for women.advertisement"There are days when you don't want to get seen and so you take a break, like I did recently. These are things you have to do to stay relevant. Dikhna zaroori hai aaj ke time pe (It's important to be seen in today's time). As for the angles, it does get distasteful. As a woman, you also lose your freedom to dress the way you want to. When you are in the public eye, you do have to be careful as sometimes things go out of line," the 'Tum Bin' actor shared.Expressing another side to this, Neha said that it's part of the business: "There's another side when you talk to them (the camerapersons). Their livelihood depends on this as they are paid for doing it. They are running their family by taking these videos. They also have a hard time standing in the sun the whole day waiting for one photo. There are always two ways to look at things. So, when you introspect, you realise you are also supporting a family, and that's really beautiful."Her web series 'Illegal' recently dropped its third season on JioCinema. Talking about the same, Neha shared that when the show launched in 2020, no one expected it to have multiple seasons: "I feel so grateful that everyone loved our project, and hence it was greenlit for consequent seasons. We did something right. Also, the character I play, Niharika Singh, is very close to my heart and I am so excited for people to see our latest season."She further added that when the show came to her, there weren't many women-oriented projects. "It was rare as OTT was not how it is today. Back then, such roles were far and few but there is so much work now. When it happened, I was excited to bag such a performance-backed role. Whenever there's something this meaty, it usually goes to A-listers and more commercial actresses. Back then because not many would have been interested in being on digital streams, it became an advantage for actors like me. As they say, early birds catch the best worms," Neha Sharma concluded with a smile.Published By: Anindita MukhopadhyayPublished On: Jun 5, 2024Must Watch
