Phillip Schofield has broken his silence on Instagram after more than a year following his resignation from ITV and dramatic departure from public life.The former This Morning presenter, 62, shared a photograph from his bedroom as he watched Formula One. In the shot, Phillip appears to be lying on his bed while his dog watches the TV screen in front of him.In his first message to the public, Phil wrote in view of his 2.8 million followers: "Thankfully, Alfie is a big @f1 fan [heart emojis]."The post was quickly liked by his daughters Ruby, 27, and Molly, 30, as well as his former This Morning co-host Josie Gibson.Comments have been limited so, at the time of writing, there is just one comment from his lawyer niece Matilda Graham - the daughter of his wife Stephanie Lowe's sister.Matilda, who specialises in Dispute Resolution, simply left a heart eyes emoji.Phillip also appears to have changed his profile picture to a snap of his adorable dog. His bio reads: "Nothing beats kindness, it sits quietly beyond all things.”Phillip's last Instagram post was shared from Paris on May 7, 2023, just weeks before he stepped down from This Morning and his resignation from ITV.His fall from grace came after he came clean about an affair with a younger employee while working at This Morning. He said the relationship was "unwise but not illegal" and apologised for lying to his colleagues, employers, the media and the public.Additionally, he has enlisted his talent manager daughter, Molly, as his new publicist.
