Celebrity Big Brother host Will Best was rushed to worried medics minutes before tonight’s live launch.
Unwell Will was checked over by the on-site professionals at the ITV studio in West London after taking a sudden turn. He soon returned to the stage and was in place for the 9pm start on ITV1.
Will didn’t reveal exactly what happened but was happy to joke about the worrying incident when he spoke to the crowd as they waited to go live. The presenter – co-hosting with AJ Odudu – dusted himself down and introduced Sharon Osbourne as the first housemate, before her pal Louis Walsh arrived.
He told fans all about it just moments before going on air and said: “So guys, this is nearly it. We’re basically one hour away from going live on Celebrity Big Brother 2024. I’ve literally just been given a clean bill of health by a paramedic. Thank you very much. It’s a long story.”

He went on to tell the concerned crowd: “We’ve got to do stuff any minute and I’m supposed to be finished in the make-up chair in about 15 minutes but I haven’t got my face on yet. Maybe tune in at 9:15… joke!”
This weekend, the Mirror was invited on a sneak peak tour of the celebrity house and host Will revealed the house has undergone one huge change from last year’s reboot. The house is bright and beautiful with glitzy stars found on the floor throughout the house.
Inside the living area the celebrities will find the open plan living space with colourful sofas in a circle – which sets the scene for the new housemates having to do face-to-face nominations. The sofas back onto the kitchen and glitzy dining area, meaning celebrities will find little room for privacy.
He said that the house has been given an upgrade in the bathroom as ITV prepares to let the new celebrity housemates inside. “The shower doors have all been frosted,” Will explained. “To give the new housemates some more privacy.”
In true Big Brother there are plenty of double beds so the new housemates will have to get to know each other pretty quickly before buddying up for night time. Outside, the housemates can enjoy spending time together in the hot tub or perhaps enjoying a break from the main house in the glitzy seating area.
