The family of porn star Emily Willis has set up a GoFundMe page to try to help cover her medical bills following a suspected overdose last month.

Emily, 25, was rushed into a medical facility in Thousand Oaks, California last month after a call reported a possible overdose. She was at the well-known celebrity rehabilitation centre in Malibu when the incident occurred.

On the donation page, her dad explains how the star is fighting an “an incredibly tough and unforeseen battle” and says she has a long road ahead that will require a lot of care. Explaining how the situation is affecting the family emotionally, physically and financially, the “journey to recovery” plea went on to note why the support would be invaluable to the family.

They said that even with insurance, the medical bills were a big burden, before saying the travel and accommodation required to ensure Emily is never alone is costly. They said the “list goes on” before thanking everyone for any donation “no matter its size”.

Before sharing an emotional poem, the statement concluded: “Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers to give her the strength for recovery. Sharing this campaign far and wide also offers invaluable support, helping us reach hearts and hands that might lift us in our time of need.”

At the time of writing, the fundraiser had accumulated $15,000 (£12,000) of a $60,000 (£47,000) target.

Willis first got involved in the adult industry in 2017 and quickly became known, recording videos and collaborating with Reality Kings, Evil Angel and more. She has received accolades at the AVN Awards as well and has appeared in Penthouse Magazine.

On Instagram, she boasts over two million followers and has met up with big social media stars, such as David Dobrek. In 2021, she filed a $5million defamation lawsuit against two other industry stars, Gianna Dior and Adria Rae, after they alleged she was filmed engaged in sex acts with a dog.

Since the suit, Adria Rae has issued an apology and it’s said the stars came to an agreement on their own terms, leading to the suit reportedly being dropped in 2022.
