Katie Price has suffered fresh heartache after her favourite horse Wallis was taken away by bailiffs, it has been claimed.

As she continues her bankruptcy battle with a return to court nearing, it has been reported that the animal she paid £250,000 for back in 2009 and his stable mate have been seized. Katie, who owes £760,000 to the taxman and much more to other creditors, often shares photos of her beloved horse on social media.

It’s said to be another blow for the star, who earlier this month saw eight vehicles turn up her home, understood to be all be debt collectors. Sources say the removal of Wallis has left the mum-of-five broken. Mirror Online have approached Katie and her reps for comment.

It is claimed that two of her horses were taken by the enforcement officers

“Katie’s neighbours said they believed Wallis has been taken by the bailiffs along with another horse she has,” a source told The Sun. “They haven’t been seen for a while now and they said they have been telling people they have been taken as part of HMRC’s action to try and get back money. Wallis is Katie’s pride and joy so if this is true she will be devastated.”

Katie, who has raked up debts of more than £3million over the years, is set to return to court in April. She is battling to save her Mucky Mansion in Sussex with a legal notice slapped on it to prevent her from selling. The star paid £1.3m for the sprawling property around nine years ago, the home – which Katie was seen revamping in a Channel 4 series after it fell in disrepair – and is now said to be worth around £2m.

In September, the Mirror reported forensic investigators were probing how Katie funds her lavish lifestyle. The bankruptcy unit would examine if she has secret bank accounts to funnel her earnings and deals with photographic agencies. A source said: “There is going to be no stone left unturned, as they try to ascertain what is going on with her finances.”

The TV personality has been on at least 20 holidays since 2022, including several luxury trips last year. Katie has said being declared bankrupt was “not the end of the world”. She added: “I think it’s quite good I am in a bankruptcy – it’s made me re-evaluate things. Everything in my life is now in place, never be embarrassed about being in a bankruptcy.”

Her current bankruptcy case is delayed until later this year. Katie attended a virtual hearing in September 2023 where she was due to lay bare her financial situation. But the judge admitted he was losing control of proceedings due to other people on the video call. Katie claimed members of the public were taking screenshots of her to “sl** me off” on gossip sites.
