Neetu Kapoor talks about Jaya Bachchan vs paparazzi.
Neetu Kapoor and Karan Johar opened up about Jaya Bachchan and hot-and-cold bond with the paparazzi.
Neetu Kapoor teased Jaya Bachchan over her habit of scolding and shouting at paparazzi. Jaya Bachchan went viral a few times in the last two years for scolding photographers for taking her pictures. The veteran actress does not hold back when she yells at the cameramen who breach her personal space. Neetu brought up these incidents on Koffee With Karan 8 and said that she feels Jaya scolds the paparazzi on purpose.
“I feel Jaya ji does it on purpose. She did it once and now she does it on purpose. She is not like that. She is so lovely,” Neetu told Karan Johar. The Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum filmmaker said, “I think they (paps) also enjoy it.” Neetu replied, “They enjoy it, she enjoys it. I think they are all in cahoots.”
Although Jaya has been spotted scolding the paparazzi in the past, including at the premiere of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, she was also seen playing along to paparazzi and posed for them at the premiere of The Archies.
Meanwhile, Neetu also opened up about her bond with Rekha. The actress, who appeared on the show with Zeenat Aman, said, “I really don’t know how it started. She was just a very friendly person. She is a very sweet and warm person. She would just drop by without informing me. So she was just like one of those girls, and she was very funny. She would do a lot of mimicry.” Zeenat added, “She came to my home on Nepean Sea Road.”
Neetu, Zeenat and Karan also spoke about Hema Malini. The trio agreed that Hema doesn’t have any filters. Neetu also left everyone in splits by doing her mimicry. “She (Hema) is very open. She is very frank. She is unaffected and pure,” Neetu said.
