Paloma Faith suffered a wardrobe blunder while on stage at The Royal Variety Performance.

The musician was one of several acts who took to the stage at The Royal Albert Hall to perform for the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland and Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden for the annual event. Paloma, 42, was joined by the likes of Cher, Melanie C, McFly and singer and actress Hannah Waddingham.

Taking to the stage, Paloma treated the audience to a performance of her new track, How You Leave A Man as she rocked a bandage-styled dress. But never one to shy away from a dramatic performance, the singer appeared to be at a bus stop before she smashed the glass surroundings.

But as her performance drew to a close, she climbed on top of the bus stop before a heavy gust of wind hit her causing her hair to blow freely. As she continued her performance, Paloma appeared to reveal her cleavage in the plunging gown with viewers at home instantly spotting the mishap.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer at home said: “Couldn’t quite concentrate on Paloma’s performance… Don’t think her costume designer thought clearly on that one.” While a second commented: “I love Paloma, but I was worried her pavlovas were about to escape then!”

“B****y hell Paloma! Ya bazookas were nearly out then!!” penned another. Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Love Paloma Faith but a very dramatic performance…[sic] #RoyalVarietyPerformance.” But while Paloma received praise for her performance, some took to social media to claim it appeared that she may have mimed parts.

A second tweeted: “As much as I like Paloma Faith she cannot mime, the performance took away from the song and her voice.” Another penned: “Parts of Paloma Faith’s performance sounded more mime than Cher’s if anyone is going to complain.”

Her performance came just days after she offered an insight into the future of her career. Paloma, a fierce ally of the LGBTQ+ community has never shied away from using her platform to promote equality and her recent comments are no different.

In a new interview, the songstress admits she has no regrets about anything that she has said, or stood up for in the past. Discussing being an ally of the community, she told Gay Times : “If my career ends because of those views, good riddance.”
