Peter Andre has recalled the terrifying moment pregnant wife Emily was rushed to hospital – just moments before he was due to go on stage.
The singer and GB News presenter, 50, is expecting his fifth child and third with Emily, 34, but has shared that it hasn’t been an easy time. However, Peter praised his wife for “never complaining” and said that “she just gets on it”.
He also revealed that he was ready for changing nappies six years after his youngest son, Theo, was born. “I’ve got as much energy now as I had in my twenties. I feel fantastic. I’m ready for this,” he said.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he revealed the hospital scare, saying: “I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”

Peter first met Emily through her father, Dr. Ruaraidh MacDonagh, in 2010. The consultant urologist treated Peter for kidney stones after he was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain, and the two stayed in touch after the musician had been discharged. He and Emily married in July 2015 in Mamhead House and Castle in Devon, three years after going public with his new relationship.
“It’s actually beautiful,” he revealed on Loose Women in a 2020 interview alongside Emily. “Sometimes the person you should be may be right in front of you and I don’t even know it.”
When asked by host Ruth Langsford when was the first time he knew their romance could be something special, Peter said it happened during a trip to Tanzania. “We were actually in Zanzibar… we were holding hands, and I was holding Emily’s hand, and I started getting feelings on this hand…did you not notice I was squeezing your hand?”
Peter has also previously discussed how she is the more authoritative parent at home. Speaking to the Times, he revealed that their children are banned from screen time in the house except on weekend mornings and must sit at the dinner table during meal times. Peter also admitted that Emily’s technology rules hasn’t gone down well with his older kids, Princess and Junior, who had been given far more freedom with Katie Price as their mother.
