According to Variety, The Devil Wears Prada actor was announced as the star of Sony’s Barbie movie in 2017. Speaking to the hosts of the Happy Sad Confused podcast about the Barbie movie that did get made, Hathaway said, “What’s so exciting about what Greta and Margot and that phenomenal team did is they hit a bullseye. The bullseye caused the entire world to reach this level of ecstasy. Now imagine that version … that much energy, that much anticipation, that much emotion … but it’s not the right version. I actually think of it as a lucky thing it didn’t get made.” She added, “If I believed that the version I was attached to could have done that, I might feel differently about it, but I genuinely think their film was the best possible version. It’s easy just to be thrilled and happy for them. I love watching women kill it.” THE CAST OF ‘TAXI’ REUNITES ON ‘THE VIEW:’ 45 years after the sitcom Taxi premiered on ABC, the cast reunited on The View. Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd, Judd Hirsch, Marilu Henner, and Carol Kane all got together again to celebrate the milestone on Monday (December 11th). “For us, from the first day, the first moment we got together, it was like a family,” DeVito said. “We were hugging and kissing the first day and we didn’t even really know each other. We read the script and everyone was falling into place. It was miraculous. But we appreciated it and never took it for granted. We always felt like the work was the most important thing.”
