Hollywood is ramping up again now that the entertainment industry’s strikes are over, and Marvel’s Deadpool 3 is among the films back in production.
The highly anticipated movie has already drawn a lot of press attention, with several photos from filming appearing online, and one of its leading actors, Ryan Reynolds, has begged the paparazzi to cease publishing spoilers.
Reynolds’ wisecracking action hero Deadpool has become a fan favorite with Marvel lovers, and the third outing of the franchise has been teased to be full of superheroes and mutants from other movies in the MCU and introducing a few new ones.
With speculation flying around, and rumors such as pop star Taylor Swift appearing in the blockbuster as Dazzler, real name Alison Blaire, a mutant who is also a singer and a superhero, Reynolds has asked for the movie to stay spoiler-free to keep its magic.

Posting on his Instagram Stories on December 6, he said: “Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally.”
Reynolds shared a subtle, but clear message to those hoping to catch a sneak peek.
“Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone. Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready.”
In his statement, he said that the film was being made for “audience joy,” and added: “And our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket.”
It’s no secret that Hugh Jackman is in the film, reprising his character of Wolverine. Spoiler images of him in the iconic yellow and blue X-Men uniform previously appeared online.
Jackman has starred in multiple movies as Wolverine, such as X-Men 1 and 2, X-Men: The Last Stand and Logan.
The pair have appeared in several comedic posts about the upcoming movie together, and the friendly jabs continued when Jackman re-shared his co-star’s story, adding: “What he said but – it’s a new Wolverine movie.”
Artist Kode Abdo also shared the story on his Instagram account @bosslogic, adding “no spoilers.” Abdo worked on the DCU film Black Adam as a concept artist and shares superhero-inspired artwork with his 2.2 million Instagram followers.
