I’m A Celebrity fans were certain Sam Thompson annoyed one campmate during his recent antics in the jungle.

The Made in Chelsea star, 31, has been a likable celebrity on this year’s show – with his infectious energy entertaining his campmates and viewers at home. Sam, who recently made it known to his fellow celebrities that he’s a huge fan of Tony Bellew – appeared more than excited to have teamed up with the former boxer to win treats for camp.

Yesterday’s episode saw the pair head off to take part in a Dingo Dollar Challenge – where they were tasked to match up ringtones to their phone. The duo had to call the celebrities in camp to sing it to them and match the noises to their devices. They needed to get four answers right to win.

After winning the challenge, they gifted their fellow campmates with chocolate. However moments before fans were amused after Sam whacked Tony’s face with his hand. After spotting a mosquito on the 41-year-old former boxer’s face, he exclaimed: “Oh mosquito! Swear on my life.”

He slapped Tony on the forehead, leaving a spot of blood behind – but Tony was less than impressed. Sam turned away, and cheerfully said: “That was dangerous, could’ve got a punch then.” Fans immediately took to X, formerly Twitter to share their reactions to the hilarious scene, with some dubbing the moment the ‘TV highlight of the year’.

One person wrote: “Arguably the best 10 seconds of TV in 2023 courtesy of Sam and Tony.” Another viewer added: “Sam smacking Tony in the face, and Tony in complete disbelief. Has absolutely made my night.”

A third chimed in: “Sam slapping Tony on the face to kill the mosquito and leaving the blood stain behind was iconic. Tony was like ‘give me patience’ I love Sam” A fourth person added: “Sam Thompson innocently slapping an exhausted Tony Bellew on the face to kill a mosquito on his birthday might end up one of my TV highlights of the year tbh.”

Sam was recently appointed the first camp leader of the series. He picked Marvin Humes to be his deputy, explaining: “He’s the one, when I’m being stupid, is like ‘mate, you probably shouldn’t do that’.”

The reality star also candidly opened up about his ADHD and said he “has to get a handle on it” as he wants to become a father one day. Speaking with Marvin Humes and Josie Gibson, the reality TV star said he had been diagnosed last year.

He added: “There’s loads of people who are actually of a certain age who get diagnosed way later. When the low bits happen it goes low. But then the highs are really high. My girlfriend Zara is so steady and it’s so good for me. When she’s going steady I’m going like that [mimes wavy line].

“My timekeeping is terrible. I get quite selfish, not just with her [my girlfriend], with everyone, my mates or whatever. My listening to Zara… I’m just finding myself staring off at something completely different. You sort of feel like you’re a bit of a k*** sometimes.” Josie said: “But you would not be Sam without it.”
