I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here presenters Ant and Dec have to cover their watches with stickers during the show – but now fans know the reason why.

Viewers noticed the Geordie duo have been covering up their watch faces with black tape and plasters whenever they meet with one or more stars – leaving fans scratching their heads. According to the show, this method prevents the celebrities from finding out what the time is in Australia.

The presenters are forced follow strict protocols as producers want ‘no clocks in camp.’ The show’s official social media account tweeted: “Ant & Dec’s watches are covered to stop the celebs finding out what time it is – they have no idea, as no clocks in camp.”

Some fans of the show believed this was the case. One person wrote: “Ant & Dec’s watches are covered to stop the celebs finding out what time it is – they have no idea, as no clocks in camp.” Others noticed the pair only had to cover the watches whenever they wore short-sleeved shirts or t-shirts. But this isn’t the case when they’re wearing shirts that cover their wrists.

Back in 2017, I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp hosts Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt gave the same reason for the watches being covered. “It’s so the campmates don’t know the time, so all the watches are covered for the people that see the campmates all the time, like Ant, Dec and Medic Bob. She added: “I think it’s just so you’re really disorientated, like we had no concept of time,” Scarlett explained.

During tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, Fred Sirieix was left unimpressed after two celebrities neglected their camp duties – after last night’s meal. The First Dates star noticed that campmates Nella and Josie forgot to put away the pans after washing them. He mentioned the pans needed another wash as the campmates were preparing to make breakfast.

Some celebrities noticed they were joined by rats in the morning – and figured the rodents sniffed the pans they used to eat their meal with the night before. Fred explained in the Bush Telegraph: “Nella and Josie didn’t put the pans away in the box last night, so what happened, they were left outside and rodents came in and went inside the pans because they could smell the food.”

Camp leader Sam sleepily said: “Any pots and pans that were left out last night need to be re-washed. Anything could crawl over it. It’s a health hazard.” Nick volunteered: “I’ll go wash it then.”
