A new I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp feud is possibly brewing following Monday night’s dramatic update from the jungle.

During the latest offering of the ITV series, viewers watched as Grace Dent’s exit from the jungle on medical grounds was revealed to the celebrity campers, with Hollyoaks legend Nick Pickard reading out a letter from the MasterChef star, 50, as she headed home to England.

Former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold stepped in to replace Grace alongside This Morning presenter Josie Gibson in the latest Bushtucker Trial. Despite feeling sad about Grace’s departure, fans were delighted the former soap star was replacing her in the challenge.

The end of the episode saw former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson made camp leader – with one of the excitable star’s campmate seemingly left visibly “unhappy” and “disgruntled” over the appointment. The body language of some campmates in reaction to Sam’s new camp role could be an indicator that more trouble is set to hit camp.

Speaking to Betfair Bingo, body language expert Darren Stanton reveals why Nigel Farage was left fuming over the decision, before appearing ‘jealous’ alongside newcomer Frankie Dettori. “Nigel appeared completely stunned as Sam was made camp leader,” Darren explains after analysing the body language shown on screen during Monday night’s show.

The body language expert continues: “He flashed a surprised expression and lowered his head, which was as though to say what the hell. He was expecting or wanted to be made camp leader himself. That was the first thing I noticed straight away. Nigel wasn’t happy that Sam was made leader.

“Sam went on to choose Marvin as his deputy. In the few minutes of being camp leader, Sam began talking about how he will dish out punishment and make the camp even better. I don’t think Sam will be very popular if he starts laying down the law and being strict. However, saying that, I don’t think Sam is an authoritative person at all.”

Darren continues to muse: “He’s a decent guy and a good person to have around, but I don’t think he’s a natural leader – and neither is Marvin. I don’t think Sam is going to make a good team leader if he has to make difficult decisions. I don’t think he’s got him in it to do it. I think if pushed in a certain way, Sam might showcase a serious side to himself. His baseline default setting is humour. He’s a nice guy but he’s certainly not authoritative, which is why Nigel’s nose has been put out so much.”

The body language then goes on to predict Farage will find it hard taking orders from someone else, saying: “It seems that Sam being made camp leader is a running joke within the camp. Nigel has been quite vocal. It’s clear his nose was really put out of joint over the fact he wasn’t chosen. He is a natural leader and it’s a difficult position for him to have someone else running the camp.

‌”Frankie also put his two pence in, saying he would like to have gone to the Misery Motel. Frankie and Nigel are the two campmates who were most impacted by the decision. I most definitely think there was jealousy from Frankie and Nigel. Nigel has taken this show as an opportunity to get back into the spotlight, and he previously spoke about getting airtime. His nose is most definitely out of joint. He thought he would have been given more airtime and tasks, which has slightly backfired. Certainly Frankie and Nigel are the two main ones that feel disgruntled.”
