I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Nella Rose has been caught up in a sexism row after fans slammed her “toxic” comments.
The influencer, 26, has made quite an impact in her first week in the jungle after telling Fred Sirieix he had ‘disrespected’ her when he said he could be her father – after revealing he was 51. Now, Nella has been accused of being sexist after telling fellow campmate, Josie Gibson, 38, how happy she was the men on the show were ‘doing all the work’ in camp.
Lying on her camping bed, she mused: “So the men are supposed to go out, hunt, get the wood, make the fire, whilst the women keep the vibes”. “Yeah,” Josie agreed, while the pair giggled. “That’s how it should be,” Nella added. “The suffragettes were fighting for this.”

“It’s given me faith in men again,”Josie shared. Nella then added: “Imagine if it was a bunch of men my age, they would be like ‘Why are we the only ones getting the wood bruv?’ These are real men. Men, real men. The Hercules kind.”
Later, chatting in the Bush Telegraph, Nella praised the “macho men” in the camp, saying: “This camp has 100% restored my faith in men. Mmm, macho men. Wow. They even cook. Hunter gatherers. The women are just…we are just here to bear children at this point. That’s it, I love it here,” she added with a giggle.
However, many fans were appalled by her comments and took to X, previously known as Twitter, asking how well they would have gone down had they been made by a man. One viewer said: “Imagine if guys were saying that – the girls should be cooking, they would be branded sexist and probably cancelled.” A second added: “Is Nella making a sexist comment? Add that to the list of annoying and stupid stuff she’s done.”
A third ranted: “Imagine if one of the guys started saying the s*** Nella just said but about women. Everything she just said is sexist, ignorant and is the reason so many men struggle with opening up due to this ideal ‘macho man’. Disgusting.”
A fourth agreed: “Nella purely being sexist on national tv. If that was a man saying that….” While a fifth said: “I properly hate the sexism in the #ImACelebrity camp. Not painting women in a good light at all with all this bull****. “Real men” is a toxic idea too. Real men come in many forms.”
However, others jumped to Nella’s defence, pointing out This Morning host, Josie, was also involved in the conversation. One said: “It’s so funny watching you say Nella is sexist, whilst no one is saying anything about Josie laughing and joining in.” A second wrote: “Nella and josie both agree on the same thing Yet Nella the bad one??” While a third asked: “Why is everyone giving out about Nella, she’s actually very funny.”
