Bobby Brazier has responded to rumours he has a secret girlfriend.
The EastEnders actor, 20, has become a fan favourite on and off the dancefloor as he competes in this year’s season of Strictly Come Dancing. When he joined the show he was tipped to take home the Glitterball trophy and fans have loved watching Bobby grow close to his dance partner Dianne Buswell over recent weeks.
The pair’s close bond on and off the dance floor has led to rumours they are in a real-life romance and growing interest in Bobby’s love life. But Dianne, who is dating her former Strictly partner Joe Sugg, has brushed off the speculation. When asked by The Mirror if there was any truth behind the rumours, she laughed: “That happens every year, it’s just part of it,” as Bobby cheerfully chipped in: “Especially when we’re both so good-looking.”

However, off the dance floor Bobby has been linked to on/off love interest Tillie Amarte – who is appearing in the Strictly Christmas Special this year – and Scarlett Taylor-Sheridan, who recently joined his brother Freddie in the show audience. But when asked about his connection to the two women, Bobby insisted: “I have no girlfriend.”
Instead he seems to be concentrating on Dianne, and throwing himself into training as the final stages of the contest approach. He recently admitted he has no plans on finding love and only has eyes from Dianne.Speaking to Closer, the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody said: “I’ve had a few people message me and tell me that they’re enjoying mine and Dianne’s partnership and dances, which is lovely. But I only pay attention to a few of the people sliding into my DMs.
“My eyes are focused on my Juliet, Dianne.” Bobby and Dianne became the centre of a social media frenzy after fans of the show believed they kissed following their Argentine Tango. Speaking about their bond, he said: “I will say though, I’ve never had a relationship like this before. Like, as far as any kind of relationship with someone goes, this is the most intense, unique relationship I’ve ever, ever had. Seven weeks with someone every day; Dancing, moaning, laughing. Fuming, joyous – just like in the space of half an hour, by the way! It’s crazy but it’s lovely.”
He added: “The stuff in our mind, in the dancer’s and contestant’s mind, is very different to the stuff people are watching. Rumours circulate annually about couples on the BBC reality show, with intimate dances between celebrities and professionals often being taken for signs of pairings hooking up. There is even a term for this – the famous Strictly Curse”.
Back in September, Bobby reportedly dumped his model girlfriend Liberty Love – as he wanted to focus on his dance skills while taking part on Strictly. Bobby and 18-year-old Liberty had been together for 18 months only for their romance to go up in flames – and stirring rumours that the Strictly curse had struck before the current season had even begun.
A source told the Daily Mail at the time: “She and Bobby had been on and off but now it seems that it’s over for good.” The soap star was also linked to model Mia Mon over the summer during the course of his on-off romance with Liberty. Meanwhile, there were recently reports Bobby has a secret girlfriend that’s reportedly a fashion consultant named Boadecia Evans.
