ITV viewers slammed Nella Rose for ‘sucking positivity’ from Sam Thompson during tonight’s action-packed episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The YouTuber and Made in Chelsea star took part in Friday night’s trial Touchdown of Terror, another gruesome challenge inside the ‘Scarena’. In a bid to hype up Nella ahead of their tricky task, Sam attempted to give some encouragement.

Sadly, it didn’t go down well, with Nella complaining that she found Sam overwhelming and too full on. She pulled the reality TV star to one side in camp, telling him to be calm as fans complained she was ‘patronising’ him before walking away.

Taking to X, formally Twitter, viewers gave their opinions on the ordeal. One commented: “Poor Sam getting that treatment from Nella when he is being optimistic and good vibes unlike herself.” While someone else asked: “How Nella sucked Sam’s positive energy.”

A third penned: “I can see Nella kicking off after this trial at Sam.” While someone else said: “Love nella but won’t thing I won’t allow is hate on Sam all he wanted to do was support ya hun.” Another added: “Nella better not mess with the sunshine of the camp sam.”

It comes after Nella’s run-ins with First Dates star Fred Sirieix and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage. Earlier this week a former show star and close friend of Sam shared fears with The Mirror that his pal would begin to annoy his campmates.

Sam joins Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, Fred, Nella, Nigel, food critic Grace Dent, JLS star Marvin Humes, EastEnders legend Danielle Harold and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard in the Australian jungle.

Jake Quickenden, a former I’m A Celebrity runner-up, told us some of the potential run-ins his mate Sam will likely face in the near future. Speaking exclusively to us after watching his friend touch down in Australia, the former X Factor singer shares concerns Sam will start to “annoy” his campmates with his larger-than-life personality.

“Sam could kind of have a bit of a problem if he annoys anyone,” Jake explained. “He’s a bit like me in that aspect, like he’s very… he’s very loud. He’s very excitable.” Speaking on Sam’s progress so far, Jake said he hopes his pal “calms down”.

He added: “I’m excited for him to kind of like calm down and for people to see just some chat. I think he will definitely do really well in the jungle.” Another friend of Jake’s is This Morning star Josie, he explains: “It’s nice to be able to see her relaxed.”
