Jamie Lynn Spears is quite literally reaching for the stars as she takes on a sky high trial, Climb of Cruelty.
Tasked with climbing up level by level, will Jamie Lynn prove to have a head for heights in this evening’s offering of I’m a Celebrity… Get me Out of Here! In a preview for tonight’s episode of the ITV series, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly can be heard encouraging the Zoey 101 star as she’s suspended 70 feet in the air for a terrifying Bushtucker Trial.
“Level number three, star number four,” the Geordie duo say in the clip as Jamie Lynn makes her way up the contraption. Jamie Lynn was voted to take on the Climb of Cruelty Bushtucker Trial during Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, amid fears the 32-year-old American could quit the ITV series and walk away from the star-studded camp due to missing her two young children back home in the States.
Earlier in the episode, Jamie Lynn confided in campmates Sam Thompson and former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold and admitted to feeling the pressure. She told her co-stars: “I don’t know how I’m so emotionally weak.” Trying to perk her campmate up, Danielle told the mum-of-two: “You’re so strong. This is tough babe, tough. So tough. It’s not easy.”
Jamie Lynn didn’t seem to take any comfort from Danielle’s words, replying: “Why am I crying so much? Josie [Gibson] has a baby at home…” Former Made In Chelsea star Sam then tried to console an upset Jamie Lynn, telling her: “It’s important to remember you’ve come from a whole different continent, you don’t know anyone here, it’s hard. It’s real hard.”
Danielle added: “Look at the s*** you’ve been through in your life, right? This, a little bit of rain in the jungle, nothing.” Jamie Lynn then argued: “But at least all that s*** I could go home to my babies every night, you know? That’s it, that’s all I need in life. It feels a little bit overwhelming. They’re not even close. I’ve got to just do it. I don’t know why I’m being such a baby.”
I’m A Celebrity fans are convinced Jamie Lynn is on the verge of quitting the ITV show, with one noting on Twitter (X) last night: “Jamie Lynn wanting to quit cos she misses her kids, the exact reason she quit US SAS too… #ImACelebrity.” Another added: “Jamie Lynn will defo quit. I’ll give her another 24 hours #ImACeleb.”
