I’m A Celebrity campmates were forced to battle the jungle’s wildlife in a bid to win precious luxury items.

As a result of winning stars at the Bushtucker Trial, the celebrities now have a lilo and some lip gloss in camp after they had the chance to win their luxury items. Danielle, Sam, Grace and Marvin were tasked with standing behind bars in the challenge. They had long paddles, which they had to use to hold up a box denoting each campmate’s luxury item. They had to hold it up long enough to stop the item from falling down a trapdoor.

However, not only was it tricky to hold the boxes, they were also showered with critters making it harder to focus on rescuing those all important luxuries. They battled to win all the items which included Nigel’s camping chair, Grace’s lipstick, Marvin’s body lotion, Jamie Lynn’s pictures of her kids and Josie’s silk printed pillow with her son’s face on it and more.

Yet the stars just ended up winning just four of the campmate’s items out of ten; Josie won her pillow which featured son Reg on it, Danielle won her pineapple shaped lilo, Nick won his cushion and Nella got her lip gloss.

Back in camp the campmates were shocked to hear the critter showers they’d faced during the challenge and they rallied around after losing out on the majority of the luxury items. Often in previous series the campmates are given more than one chance to win the items during the series.

Celebrities in this year’s series include former UKIP politician Nigel Farage, actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears, TV personality and radio DJ Sam Thompson, This Morning host Josie Gibson, TV presenter Fred Sirieix, YouTuber Nella Rose, food critic Grace Dent, pop star and TV presenter Marvin Humes, EastEnders star Danielle Harold and Hollyoaks Icon Nick Pickard.

Despite a star studded cast, bosses behind the jungle reality show are reportedly facing a crisis as viewers boycott the show over Nigel Farage’s participation, according to reports. The ITV reality series premiered on Sunday evening to an audience of seven million, a fall of two million from its opening show last year. While the exact reason for these lower ratings isn’t clear, the slump has likely been influenced by the public’s opposition to I’m A Celeb including ex-politician Nigel Farage in its line-up.
