I’m A Celeb’s Josie Gibson’s ex-boyfriend and reason they called it a day

Josie Gibson made a name for herself on Big Brother – but these days the TV star is also known for presenting ITV’s This Morning.

The 38-year-old entered the Big Brother House in 2010 and went on to win the entire series. Now, Josie is set to face a new challenge: the terrifying jungle. She is one of the many contestants taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this year. Recently, the mum-of-one joked about the reason behind her decision to sign up for the gruelling show.

The star admitted ITV bosses had offered too much money to turn down and return business class flights with unlimited bubbles. In an interview with The Mirror, she said: I’m most excited about the flight,” says Josie. “I can’t wait to fly business class.

“Apparently it’s unlimited champagne, so I’m really excited about being a Champagne Annie for 21 hours. I’ve got a business class flight there and a business class flight back.”

And with her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! appearance still pending, we took a look at Josie’s life outside of the spotlight – including her past relationships. Josie previously dated her ex-boyfriend Terry, who she began seeing in 2018. Terry works as a property developer and is 15 years her senior. In the same year, Josie and Terry welcomed their adorable baby son Reggie to the world.

According to reports, the couple decided to call it quits after they frequently argued. In an interview with New! magazine shortly after the split, Josie revealed they had a bust-up centring around Terry’s OCD.

She explained: “He’s got OCD and just after Christmas, he went mad about too many of my shoes being in the hallway. So I kicked off and said, ‘Well, we’ll go then!’ And he went, ‘Alright’, and bagged up our stuff, so Reggie and me headed to a hotel.”

After they split, Josie opened up about being a single mum during an appearance on Loose Women in 2019. She confessed: “It’s not what I wanted to come back and say. I was so proud of our family unit and that we’d done it properly, but yeah I’m a single parent, it’s devastating really.

She added: It is stressful being a single parent but sometimes it’s easier working on your own and not having someone against you.” Despite their break-up, the couple are currently co-parenting their small child. She revealed: “Terry has him two to three nights a week and then I’ll have him on the others. I would never have been able to do what I’ve done if it wasn’t for Terry.”
