Last year disgraced MP Matt Hancock and Lioness Jill Scott went head to head for the jungle crown, with the football star taking home Queen of the Jungle. While this series sees GB News host and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage enter the jungle, which sparked backlash and complaints.

ITV responded, saying in a statement: “I’m A Celebrity has always featured a diverse cast from all areas of public life and has a history of featuring political figures throughout its 20 years on screen.” While Farage said: “I want to test myself. Business, politics, media, I’ve done so many different jobs and generally I have been reasonably successful. But I have never been tested in quite this way. It’s such a mental test and maybe I will discover- who I really am.”

Other names on this year’s lineup include JLS star Marvin Humes, EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, Hollyoaks’ Nick Pickard as well as Britney Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears. First Dates star Fred Sirieix, YouTube sensation Nella Rose, Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, This Morning presenter Josie Gibson and food critic Grace Dent are also putting themselves up for the test.
