Fans slam Travis Barker’s odd behaviour during Kourtney Kardashian’s labour

Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her first son with husband Travis Barker last week, with the famous musician taking part in some bizarre behaviour in the delivery room, something fans are claiming is “grounds for divorce.”

Blink-182 drummer Travis is being slammed online after sharing a clip on social media of him practicing the drums while his wife Kourtney was in labour with their child. The 47-year-old artist said that he was “practicing to his baby’s heartbeat,” a performance that was meant as a sweet gesture to his family that fans are joking is grounds for divorce and jail time.

Many mothers commented that giving birth can be a stressful and overwhelming process to begin with, without loud overstimulating music playing in the background. Other fans felt for fellow patients, doctors, and nurses that were forced to listen to the solo act as they could be experiencing pain or felt overwhelmed themselves.

Fans took to social media Friday slamming Travis for his “obnoxious” move. One fan wrote: “Travis was doing this to the baby’s heartbeat so that’s sweet but still…. DIVORCE!!!” Another agreed: “I’m 8 months pregnant and this fills me with rage just listening for 30 seconds.” And a third wrote: “That would’ve driven me up the wall. Kourtney has the patience of a saint. Congratulations!!!!!”

But despite the hate, some fans found the display endearing saying that they would’ve enjoyed being serenaded in the delivery room. One fan wrote: “Am I the only one that thinks this is kind of awesome?” Another commented: “I loved it too lol. Better and sweeter than my husband barfing while I get the epidural,” and a third agreed: “Plus he’s soooo good! Ok world class drummer. Come serenade me anytime.”

The pair were thrilled to welcome their newborn baby son following Kourtney’s rocky journey to giving birth. The reality star has been very transparent about her previous struggles with IVF as well as the emergency surgery that she underwent due to complications during her pregnancy. The urgent operation came in September during which Travis dropped everything to be by her side, cancelling his Blink-182 concerts overseas to return to the US.

Following the surgery, Kourtney said: “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

Now that their baby boy has arrived, they confirmed the unique name they’ve given their new son. After keeping it under wraps for some time, Travis recently let it slip during a podcast interview revealing that he will be named Rocky Thirteen Barker. During the guest appearance, Travis accidentally mentioned the name after saying scheduled to perform a show in Hawaii but couldn’t because “It’s the week that Rocky’s due.”
