Andrew DaRosa/Hearst Connecticut Media Keanu Reeves, best known for his roles in "The Matrix" and "John Wick," performed with his alternative rock band, Dogstar, at New Haven’s famed Toad’s Place on Oct. 11. The show, which sold out immediately after tickets went on sale on Aug. 25, was the last show on the band's east coast leg of the tour. Dogstar was formed in 1991 by Reeves and Robert Mailhouse, who initially bonded over their love of hockey. The band found success in the '90s and even opened for headline acts like David Bowie and Bon Jovi. After playing on-and-off again for the past two decades, the band reconvened during the pandemic and released its newest album, "Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees" recently.  The crowd, which ranged from teens to middle-aged rockers, packed in the historic New Haven venue, which has hosted the likes of The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Talking Heads. Archer Oh, a garage rock band from California, opened the show with a riff-heavy 30-minute slot. - Andrew DaRosa
