I’m A Celebrity viewers believe they’ve already busted a camp-mate sending secret signals to loved ones back home.

Plenty rushed to social media to claim Marvin Humes has been making the little gestures to his wife and kids watching his jungle journey on TV. The JLS singer was seen tapping his fist on his heart when he knew the ITV cameras would be on him as the names of those facing the Bushtucker trials were read out.

Rochelle and their children Alaia-Mai, 10, and Valentina, six, and three-year-old son Blake were sure to be watching on opening night and some think star didn’t waste the opportunity to communicate with them. Viewers raced to twitter to let everyone know they were on to Marvin and quickly found out they weren’t alone in their observations.

One put: “Marvin is already doing his secret hand sign to home.” Another was equally as convinced, saying: “Awhhh seems like Marvin is tapping his heart to show Rochelle how much he loves her. He must miss his family so much already.” A third put: “Secret signal from Marvin 100%.”

Like a number of the other camp-mates, he made a terrifying entrance on Sunday night as the Australian jungle welcomed the stars as as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! kicked off. Mavin faced the skydive – of course after perhaps unwisely revealing his fear of heights.

He admitted that his decision to join the show could have been down to a midlife crisis. But the TV presenter, 38, was keen to insist that he plans to fully commit to the show to make his children proud – especially after he found an emotional note hidden in his case on Wednesday after jetting off down under.

Speaking to the Mirror Marvin said: “When I left Rochelle and the kids wrote a note and stuck it in my suitcase which I found yesterday.” He continued: “It said how much they loved me and told me how proud of me they are. My 10-year-old [Alaia-Mai] said, ‘Daddy, I’m so proud of you conquering your fears, just don’t say no to anything and do your best.’ That’s from my 10-year-old. You know, so, so sweet that she’s telling me to conquer my fears and get stuck in. I just want to make them proud.”

He added: “My 10-year-old said to Rochelle that she doesn’t like going on roller coasters. And when we left she said: ‘Daddy because you’re doing this and conquering your fear, when you get out, I want to conquer my fear and I want to go on a roller coaster with you’.” But it looks as though Marvin will have to dig deep in order to honour his promise to his children as he has a fear of heights.

He explained: “I’m hoping that I don’t have to dive off the side of the highest power block in Australia and I’m also hoping I don’t have to skydive. However, I imagine I am going to be doing one of those two, which absolutely terrifies me. I think it’s just as I’ve got older you know, when I was younger, I was on the biggest roller coaster in the world. Nothing of it. I think it’s just as you get older and you’ve got children you just genuinely don’t know what it is.”
