I’m A Celebrity star Josie Gibson hints at drama as she slams ‘selfish’ people

Josie Gibson has already hinted at drama in the I’m The Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! camp after saying she hates “selfish” stars with “big egos”.

The Big Brother star, 38, popped up via video link on This Morning today, where she spoke about what viewers should expect from her on the ITV reality show, which kicks off on Sunday in Australia. Josie, who will be joined by the likes of Britney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lyyn, and former UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, said: “I am quite known for taking on a challenge on This Morning… I don’t like to say ‘no’, but I think I might have gone a bit too far with this one.”

She continued: “I love people so I’m alright about sharing a camp with loads of other celebrities. If somebody has got a big ego that would rub me up the wrong way. I can’t stand people that are too selfish. You’ve gotta care more!”

TV presenter, Sian Welby, told hosts Alison Hammond and Craig Doyle she’d heard Josie’s first trial would be with YouTuber, Nella Rose. Speaking about the rumours, she said: “What I’ve heard is that they’ve been spotted like 2000 miles from the camp. This is a never before seen challenge. It’s totally different. They’re in the dessert, almost, it’s 40 degree heat!”

In fact, Alison and Nella, 26, reportedly join Nigel Farage in one of the most unexpected I’m A Celebrity challenges to date – and they have already filmed the scenes. The trio found themselves isolated from the rest of the campmates as they took on the huge challenge in the middle of the red desert of the Northern Territory.

Lifting the lid on the producer’s plans to make Mr Farage’s experience in the jungle TV gold, a source told The Sun: “It’s a huge series opener for Sunday, bigger and better than ever. A lot of thought went into who was best to pair with Nigel to create the best TV and bosses reckon they’re a magic trio.”

Alison, who took part in the tenth series of I’m A Celebrity, admitted she’d told her colleague Josie to “smuggle in a burner” phone so she could get all the gossip from the jungle when the new series kicks off. Speaking about her pal being part of the class of 2023, she said: “It’s actually made me emotional because I speak to Josie nearly every single day… I can’t speak to her!”

Craig then mentioned the stars’ phones get taken off them as soon as they arrive in Australia. Alison told him: “Though I did tell her, take a little dead one.” Craig asked if she meant a burner phone before Alison nodded, confessing: “I don’t think she did it though.”
