Kanye West might have caused unfixable damage to his personal brand after weeks of controversy, claims a celebrity PR expert.

The drama’s been non-stop for Ye recently, from sharing near-naked snaps of his wife Bianca Censori, to an extremely angry argument with the paparazzi. With both happening right in the spotlight, industry leaders say it’s all having a negative effect.

Publicity professionals tell The Mirror that the Bound 2 rapper’s recent antics are “ruining any chance” of Kanye being “taken seriously”. But after a social media scandal and two rounds of verbal boxing in the street, on camera, what’s the worst that can happen?

In an exclusive chat with us, PR expert David Triana explains that recent events have only added to a much bigger picture. He said: “His brand has taken hit after hit after hit these past few years. What an incident like this shows is that Kanye West still believes he’s untouchable when he’s not. The only thing he’s succeeding in doing with this behaviour is ruining any chance to be taken seriously in the public sphere.”

The director of public relations at Empathy First Media added: “From a PR perspective, this is not a case of ‘any press is good press’. Kanye West’s PR team should be promoting his music, generating buzz about his creative endeavours, not trying to salvage his reputation once again.” The expert explained: “The more Kanye West is in public, behaving like this, the worse his situation will become because it will just further alienate those who may have thought about working with him.”

The comment come after Kanye remained silent as he was asked to comment on his furious rant against a female reporter. He was filmed having a public confrontation with the journalist after he was triggered by a question about whether his wife has “free will”.

During the heated exchange, Kanye even took the reporter’s phone. In a video, Kanye was heard saying: “Don’t come asking me that dumb-a** s***. I’m a person bro.” Now, the 46-year-old ignored any questions about the incident as he reunited with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian to treat their daughter North West to a special dinner.

Kim was seen arriving at Nobu in Malibu on Tuesday with North and her friends. The youngsters all wore T-shirts promoting Kanye’s new album. In pictures obtained by TMZ, Kanye was seen arriving separately. Kim wore a very tiny crop top for the outing, which she paired with a long black coat. Kanye, legally known as Ye, covered his face with a black mask and opted for a short leather jacket.

In a video shared by the publication, the Flashing Lights hitmaker refused to comment on the incident involving the reporter. “Kanye, what happened with the girl? Any comments? What happened with the TMZ girl, Kanye, you wanna say something?” the person filming the video asked. However, Kanye remained silent as he stayed standing by his car before getting into the black SUV. Following his original rant at the journalist, it emerged he had a second argument with the same woman.
