Katie Price’s mum Amy takes swipe at her daughter’s love of plastic surgery

Katie Price’s mum Amy said she finds her daughter’s cosmetic surgery ‘ridiculous’ as she took a swipe at the star’s love for going under the knife.

The former glamour model is known for her cosmetic procedures, with the star taking to social media to share her many plastic surgery journeys with fans. Fans have shared their concern over the procedures over time and her mum, Amy, has been open about her worries for the 45-year-old.

Last year, she said Katie tends to undergo plastic surgery when she’s ‘having an off day’ or ‘feeling a bit down’. And now, Amy admitted she sometimes calls the clinics up to cancel her daughter’s appointments before she goes. In a new chat, Amy explained: “I’ve always found Kate’s cosmetic surgery ridiculous.

“Her boobs are bigger than her head, for God’s sake!”

She added to The Sun: “Whenever she has a crisis that upsets her, she’ll get some surgery, and if she can’t do more surgery, then she’ll get tattoos.” Amy then talked about Katie ‘looking natural is just beautiful.’ Last year, Katie’s mother opened up about how she begged her to stop her ‘dangerous’ habit.

Amy, who has been battling a terminal illness, opened up about the pain her daughter goes through in her book, The Last Word. The 72-year-old said Katie tends to undergo plastic surgery when she’s ‘having an off day’ or ‘feeling a bit down’. Amy added that Katie changes her body as she thinks it ‘makes her in control of her body’ and isn’t trying to appeal to men.

An excerpt in her book read: “Over the years, we have all come to accept it as part of Kate’s personality, but we have also seen a pattern emerging — relationship difficulties correlate with an urge to change things on the outside, even though it is her inner thoughts and feelings that need attention.”

“I’ve begun to warn her that if she’s not careful, she will end up looking like the Bride of Frankenstein, but she tells me not to waste my breath,” the excerpt shared with The Sun explained. Amy continued: “Some of the things she has done to her body are not only ridiculous but dangerous.”

TV personality Katie had her first boob job when she was 18 and went on to have over 10 more in the next 25 years. In 2021, the former glamour model had full body liposuction, eye lifts, a lip lift, fat injected into her bottom and fat removed from under her chin. She had even more procedures over the years.
