AXCN: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie – What should have been an easy bounty turns into biological war after a terrorist gets hold of a deadly virus. Drawn in by the price on the mastermind’s head, Spike and the Bebop crew are ready to collect a much-needed reward. Origin – Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) turns down an assignment to write an article about Trayvon Martin’s murder, but finds she can’t get his death out of her mind. After suffering personal losses of her own, she decides to confront her trauma and begins research on a book that examines discrimination around the world. Playing in select cities. The Braid – In India, Smita (Mia Maelzer) braids her daughter Lalita’s hair to prepare her for school, while in Italy, Giulia (Fotinì Peluso) works alongside her father. In Canada, single mother Sarah (Kim Raver) is a high-priced attorney. When Lalita is beaten by the school teacher because she’s of the caste known as the Undesirables, Smita vows to leave town for a fresh start elsewhere. Giulia’s father is seriously injured in a car accident, leaving her to deal with his debts, while Sarah collapses at her job. Something, somehow, will unite these three women.
