As a child of two of the biggest celebrities in the world, North West has already developed some strong opinions on being famous — including the nuisance of paparazzi.
The 11-year-old eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West chatted with her mom for a Q&A for Interview Magazine this week and did not hold back about her many thoughts. North is the oldest of four kids from the former couple — who finalized their divorce in 2022 but continue to co-parent. With a reality TV show mom and musician dad, North has been in the spotlight since before she was born (Kardashian was always photographed when pregnant) and has become accustomed to experiences that come with being one of the world’s most famous nepo babies.
North is clearly enjoying the advantages of her parents’ success, with a TikTok account of more than 19 million followers — managed by her mom — and flying all around the globe with her parents. When Kardashian asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, North responded, “I don’t know, because I already do a lot of stuff that I want to be when I grow up. I just want to pursue my careers now.”
But when it comes to dealing with the paparazzi, North isn’t much of a fan.
“I like taking pictures of myself, but I don’t like when paparazzi do,” North said when asked if she liked having her photo taken. “When I just woke up and there’s so much paparazzi, I’m like, ‘Yo, I’m going to sue you.’ If I’m ready, if I’m not tired, if my outfit’s good, I’m like, ‘Okay, I could take a picture.’”
The wide-ranging interview was silly and fun — much like North’s vivacious personality. Clips from the interview were shared on Instagram and many people noted how similar she is to Kanye West and keeping Kim Kardashian “humble.”
When asked what she wanted to be for Halloween, North West fired off about nine different options she wanted to do, including Tyler, the Creator, Princess Peach, and Tyla. “There’s my month of planning,” Kardashian quipped.
