According to Sweeney, one photographer suggested that if she posed for pictures, they would leave her alone.
Sweeney dismissed rumours that she ever calls paparazzi on herself, saying it made no sense.She questioned why she would invite photographers to her own home when her family, including her young cousins, were present. She emphasized that it’s a situation she would never want, especially in such a private space.
In a surprising revelation, Sweeney described how some photographers used extreme methods to get photos of her. She explained that some had taken kayaks into the ocean near her home, hiding there for hours, waiting to take pictures. They arrived early in the morning and stayed all day, refusing to leave. Sweeney expressed her frustration, saying that she should be able to feel safe and comfortable in her own home without such intrusions.Her biggest concern, however, is the danger that comes with her location being revealed through these photographs. Sweeney explained that once the pictures are shared, everyone knows where she is, which puts her at risk. She mentioned how boats now pass by her house, with people pointing out where she lives, turning her home into a stop on a “star tour.”
While the constant presence of paparazzi is frustrating, Sweeney made it clear that her safety is the most important issue.
