However, she has experienced widespread fan and media scrutiny, alongside her rise to fame, usually regarding her appearance or acting ability. In a new interview with Glamour, Sweeney explained that this attention hasn’t been all bad. Some fans have pushed her to feel more confident and realise she believes in “empowering others, feeling powerful with your body, and embracing your sexuality.”Recounting the less positive aspects of gaining media attention, she shared an experience with a group of photographers who lingered outside her home in Florida while yelling at her family and attempting to coerce her into taking pictures.“They said, ‘If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then I’ll leave you alone,'” Sweeney said. Addressing internet-lead speculation that she called paparazzi on herself, she added: “Why would I call the paparazzi to take pictures of me at my own house when my baby cousins and family are there and I’m in my backyard? I should be able to be in my home and feel comfortable and safe.”Despite the apparent inappropriateness of them calling on her to take indecent pictures as bribery for them leaving the premises, Sweeney proceeded to discuss the other ways it makes her feel uneasy, stating it has the potential to compromise her safety. “When those photos go out, then my actual safety is at risk,” she said, explaining how it can often result in her address being doxxed.Earlier this year, the actor also addressed ongoing comments about her appearance, taking to Instagram to post a picture of her wearing a shirt adorned with the words: “Sorry for having great tits.”She also responded to producer Carol Baum’s unwarranted remarks about her looks and acting ability after Baum watched Anyone But You on a plane and described her as someone who couldn’t act. In a follow-up statement, Sweeney said: “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.”However, despite constantly warding off negativity, Sweeney seems more focused now than ever. Now, she chooses to channel her energy into her craft and views unwanted attention as nothing more than an unfortunate add-on in an imperfect industry.[embedded content]Related TopicsSubscribe To The Far Out Newsletter
