Simon Cowell delighted fans when he announced a “new arrival” to his family with a sweet photo on social media.

The 64-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge has been with fiancé Lauren Silverman since 2013. They welcomed their son Eric a year later. In January 2022, it was announced that the two got engaged. And now, the couple have expanded their family.

Taking to his Instagram, Simon shared a few snaps of himself and the family’s new German Shepherd dog. He captioned the post: “Our family has had a new arrival… her name is Pebbles.” In the snaps, Simon looked over the moon as he cuddled up to the adorable puppy. Fans were loving Pebbles and rushed to the comment section to gush about the sweet dog.

“Awww look at those eyes. Nothing better than a four-legged addition to the family,” one user commented while another said: “So cute, pebbles eyes is awesome. Congratulations Uncle Simon.” One follower added: “So happy for you and your family Simon. Pebbles is going to be a great dog and family member.”

It comes several months after it was revealed Simon beefed up his security with two German Shepherds due to terrifying burglary scares. In November, it was said the dogs were being trained to be on patrol at the music mogul’s house. The X Factor judge already has five smaller dogs, including Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly.

A source said at the time: “These two pets have been bought solely with security in mind.” The Britain’s Got Talent star splits his time between the UK and LA with fiancée Lauren Silverman and son Eric and has had several security dramas in the past. Last year, he sold his £10 million Holland Park home for below the asking price after an alleged plot to break in using a decoder was foiled.

Simon is extremely busy with his endless projects but recently revealed he cut back on work hours to spend time with his family. The star said he only works Monday to Thursday as he dismissed working on a Friday as “pointless”.

In an interview with The Sun last year, Simon explained his new routine as he said: “Actually, the first thing [I did] is take off Fridays. Don’t work on Fridays, because you don’t have to.” The star then also revealed strict rules including eating dinner at 5pm and no calls or emails after 5.30pm, as well as watching “happy” films and enjoying time outdoors.
