In case you didn’t get the news alert blasted to your phone and/or group chat, Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. And interestingly, TMZ reports that she listed their official date of separation as April 26, 2024—just a couple weeks before initial rumors that she and Ben had split hit the news cycle.
And because she happens to be one of the most photographed people in the world, paparazzi actually snapped pics of J.Lo on the date she and Ben ended their relationship. Turns out she was in New York City, and was spotted solo:
Seems safe to assume J.Lo was in NYC to prep for the Met Gala on the First Monday of May, which she cochaired (and attended without Ben Affleck).
Just several weeks later on May 15, tabloid InTouch broke news of Ben and Jen’s split, speaking to an “insider” who alleged “The writing is on the wall—it’s over.”
Since then, Ben and J.Lo have listed their mansion for sale, he bought a new house literally on her birthday, and they spent the summer largely apart—with him in Los Angeles and her in The Hamptons.
The couple have remained quiet on their split thus far, but things seem pretty uncertain when it comes to their prenup…mostly because they didn’t have one. Details regarding that whole potential mess…
