Shah Rukh Khan is visiting Switzerland to attend the Locarno Film Festival. He will be honoured with its Honorary Leopard Achievement Award.
Shah Rukh Khan was snapped by the paparazzi on Thursday night at the Mumbai airport as he was leaving for Switzerland. In a video that surfaced on social media, SRK was seen getting down from his car and walking towards the airport’s entry gate. He sported a white t-shirt and layered it with an orange jacket and blue jeans. The Bollywood superstar complimented his look with black goggles and looked dapper as always.
While the paparazzi kept cheering for SRK, the actor avoided shutterbugs and did not stop to pose for the cameras. Watch the video:
Shah Rukh Khan is visiting Switzerland to attend the Locarno Film Festival. He will be honoured with its Honorary Leopard Achievement Award. The award will pay tribute to his remarkable career in the Indian cinema consisting of more than 100 films in a breathtaking multitude of genres. He will receive the award on the evening of Saturday, August 10 at Piazza Grande. In addition, a key film from Khan’s career – Devdas (Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 2002) will be screened during the Festival, and SRK will appear at the Forum @Spazio Cinema for a conversation open to the public on Sunday, August 11.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan ruled the box office in 2023 with three blockbuster films – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. Pathaan was released in January 2023. The film marked Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback to the big screen after four years and impressed everyone. It also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in key roles.
On the other hand, Jawan was released in September 2023. It also featured Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Ridhi Dogra and Vijay Sethupathi among others. It became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever with a whopping Rs 643 Cr. nett collection in India across all languages.
After the two mega releases, Shah Rukh Khan returned to theatres in December 2023 with Dunki – his first with the director Rajkumar Hirani. The film also starred Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu in key roles. The plot of the film followed the exciting journey of those who choose an unconventional route known as the Donkey Flight, showing the difficulties they face on their way.
