FBOY Island Australia host Abbie Chatfield has spoken out about the time she tipped off the paparazzi.
Earlier this month, a cute AF video of Abbie walking her dog with her bae Adam Hyde surfaced, leading netizens to accuse the pair of “calling the paps on themselves”.
Abbie took to TikTok to set the record straight, claiming the adorable video wasn’t staged.
“Why the f*ck would I call the paparazzi on myself to video me walking in a dirty tracksuit on a Tuesday with no makeup, whilst Adam’s in a leather jacket after going on The Morning Show,” she laughed. “What do I get from that?”
In a follow up video, the 29-year-old confessed that she has tipped off the paparazzi in the past.
“I actually have called the paps on myself,” she told her followers. “I’ve done a deal with them to take and sell photos of something I was already doing. I did it one time in 2020, a month after The Bachelor aired.

Why did Abbie call the paparazzi on herself?
Abbie revealed that she was paid $1500 for telling the paps what beach she’d be visiting with her boyfriend at the time.
The former Masked Singer panellist justified that she did it “for the money“, as she was “skint” at the time and it covered ten weeks of rent.
Abbie said she was “fine” with paps taking photos as long as there was consent between them and their subject, and they’re “both making money”.
“The important thing is consent,” she stressed.
