Investigators discovered over 5,600 flagged images on Dubois's laptop, identified by Axiom as "possible child abuse content," as per the Herald.Prior to his arrest, Dubois's achievements include publishing over 26 novels, a popular Lewis Cole mystery series, collaborations with notable authors like James Patterson, plus a win on Jeopardy! in September 2012, where he earned $23,000.Dubois saw immediate professional repercussions following the charges. Severn River Books, which published his latest work Terminal Surf, removed his biography from their website and halted sales of his books. In a statement to CBS News, the publisher expressed their dismay: "We are deeply disturbed by the serious allegations against Brendan DuBois.
