X Factor star Jake Quickenden has announced he and wife Sophie Church are expecting their second child together.
Jake, 35, is already dad to his three-year-old son Leo, but will soon be welcoming another addition to the family. He shared his news with his Instagram followers, writing: “WE HAVE NEWS…. soon to be five. We can finally let you know after a long time trying we are gonna bring another bundle of joy into the world. We are super excited. Can’t wait to live off 2 hours sleep again. Have a lovely Sunday.”
In an adorable montage video uploaded to social media, the TV personality and his wife can be seen breaking the news to family and telling their children Leo, and Sophie’s son Leo from a previous relationship.

The final clip sees them ready to plunge champagne flutes into a cake in what is presumably a gender reveal, but it cuts off before showing the colour of the inside. Followers and famous pals rushed to the comments to congratulate the couple, who have spent “a long time trying” for their little one.
Influencer Stephanie Roberts wrote: “The best news, congratulations all. Can’t wait to find out what is inside the cake I was getting excited and the reel ended!” Blogger Lisa Jordan replied: “Huge congrats to you both!” Steps star Ian Watkins added: “Congratulations!!!!”
The post was inundated with heartfelt congratulations from Jake’s followers, with some in tears after watching the moving video.
Jake previously opened up about becoming a dad, revealing that he and Sophie were planning on adding more members to their family. He told the Daily Star: “We are trying for another one. It is the easiest decision ever. We definitely want one more. Our family already feels complete, but we’d love one more. We would love a little girl. That would be the icing on the cake. But as long as the baby was healthy, that’s all that matters. Whatever we had, we’d be happy.”
Jake and Sophie tied the knot in 2022 in a stunning ceremony in Ibiza. They had been dating since 2018, and got engaged in Greece in August 2021, after welcoming Leo in the February.
Speaking after Leo was born, Jake told Entertainment Daily: “We do the whole baby thing together. We just try and support each other as much as possible. I think we’ve got a really strong relationship in that way.”
He added that despite any “hurdles” and feeling “worried about everything”, it’s to be expected and that he knows he will always worry about his son.
