A popular Bollywood paparazzi recently hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit yesterday, wherein he spilled the beans and made some serious revelations on the who’s who of Bollywood.
Varinder Chawla, who has been a paparazzo for over 25 years was bold enough to name celebrities and candidly answer many of the queries. Obviously, the fans were curious and asked many hush-hush and insider questions, which Varinder Chawla answered honestly.
Bollywood Paparazzi spills the tea
The famous pap was asked multiple questions in the Reddit thread. When asked about his personal all-time favourites, the paparazzo named Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor as personal favourites. He was also all praise about Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor naming the two ladies as the most beautiful actresses according to him.
A user asked the question about the Bollywood couple having the highest demand, to which he responded, “Demand is for Alia Ranbir, Deepika Ranveer and Kat Vicky.” Similarly, when asked “Who is the most favourite celeb of the paparazzi”, Chawla alleged that it was Sara Ali Khan.
A couple of users questioned the pap about the celebrity who is the hardest to find or spot for them in the industry. Varinder Chawla seemed to be sure about superstar Shah Rukh Khan being the most difficult-to-spot celebrity.
He also made some serious revelations and shared some instances. A user asked, “How often you have to delete or not post because celebs PR or manager asked you not to post.” To this, the paparazzi reportedly shared an instance saying, “A couple of times I was asked and requested by the PR team to not post some pics if we caught them when they were in a bad mood or was angry. once Karan Singh Grover showed middle finger to one of my guys when coming out of gym we didn’t post the pic because his team called and requested not to post.”
The users also asked him about his least favourite celebrities, to which he allegedly answered, “least fav is Tapsee Pannu and Jaya Bachchan.” He also reportedly shared that he finds Taapse Pannu to be rude sometimes.
Paparazzi on Ambanis and cricketers
Obviously a lot of users asked some of the most common questions that common people have for the paparazzi. These included questions about how the paps know where celebrities are and if the celebs themselves call the paps to click them.
Varinder Chawla clarified, “Sometimes during movie promotion, they call us for airport spotting.
But restaurant, gym, clinic etc our team follows their car and then go to the site following.” On asked, “Which celeb calls paps the most?” He answered saying, “No big celebs call for paps.”
A user even asked if the Ambanis usually call the paps. The experienced pap responded, “Do you think they need to call paps lol”
He also shared his experience with cricketers saying, “All cricketers behave very softly but they avoid getting papped and doesn’t allow to click Virat Kohli especially is very kind to all photographers.”
