Pink drops into Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first London date of her Summer Carnival Tour, quite literally, on Saturday night.
Hanging upside down on wires from the roof of the stage, the ballsy US singer belts out Get The Party Started mashed up with Eurythmics’ 80’s floorfiller Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).
The dazzling entrance sets the tone for the rest of the circus-themed show which is to expect the unexpected.
While the acrobatics are mesmerising and jaw-dropping throughout, Pink powers through a trusted stream of singalong hits from Just Like A Pill to Raise Your Glass. Newer tracks including Fred again… produced Trustfall are just as well received from her adoring crowd.
Revelling in her masterclass of a stadium show, Pink loves her audience right back, taking the time to acknowledge birthday posters, “I love my 40’s, 40’s are rad!”, accepting gifts, and signing autographs that will later be turned into tattoos.
“I got my first tattoo when I was 12,” admits the star, adding that she had her lip pierced then too. “What were my parents thinking?” she asks.

After peppering the show with chaotic tales from her personal life, including how she once got arrested for singing 4 Non Blonde’s What’s Up too loudly and ‘disturbing the peace’, Pink cries out “Let’s disturb the peace together!” before bursting into a rousing cover that unleashes her powerhouse voice.
Later in the show there’s a rare moment of softness as Pink sits down at the piano to perform Adele’s version of Make You Feel My Love. “I don’t normally do love songs. Adele’s voice is like butter,” she muses. But the Pennsylvania-born singer’s voice is just as captivating as the Tottenham native’s as she adds a raspy edge to the classic ballad.
In an abundance of cherished pop anthems perhaps the most heartwarming moment of the night comes as Pink’s daughter Willow Sage Hart joins her on stage to perform Cover Me In Sunshine. “This song came to me like a warm hug,” she admits of the lockdown-produced track. It’s hard not to have similar feels as the proud mum looks adoringly at her 12-year-old singing sweetly to thousands of her fans.
After slowing down the mood, Pink cranks up the tempo with a steady blow of hits before building up to a sucker punch finale. As long-term followers will know, Pink is renowned for her incredible acrobatics with her shows being part-pop concert part-Cirque du Soleil. Yet seeing the singer belting out So What? as she is flung somersaulting and spinning on wires across the 48 metre high Spurs stadium is an end to the night even the most dedicated fan could marvel at.
